Are you longing to feel accepted for who you are? There are so many pressures on who we should be. Sometimes, we have to hide and suppress parts of ourselves to fit in. In the process, we lose touch with who we are and what makes us feel alive, which can lead to feeling depressed, anxious, and lonely. I help and support clients in their journey to heal old wounds and transform old patterns so they might discover their true identities and become the person they were always meant to be.

I work with adult men and women of all ages, ethnic, religious, social, cultural, and career backgrounds. I value cultural humility, suspension of judgment, and respect for diverse experiences and points of view. I am a BIPOC woman of South Asian Islamic descent who understands the immigrant experience, survived war, oppression, famine, and hunger. I am fluent in English. I can comprehend Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, and Tamil. After 25 years in the highly competitive and stressful technology sector, I also have extensive experience in supporting clients with career and workplace trauma.

Therapeutic Approaches: My approach to counseling integrates clinically proven evidence-based techniques such as Existential Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Bowenian System Theory, Feminist Theory, Multicultural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy.
