Counsellor
I offer a compassionate, approachable, and grounded style of counselling, creating a safe space for clients to explore their concerns. With over ten years of experience in the helping professions, I specialize in supporting individuals through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and significant life transitions. My experience extends to working with individuals affected by substance use, helping them navigate the complexities of addiction and its impact on coping and self-identity. I believe in building a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, empowering them to heal and grow.
I hold the belief that every person has unique strengths, and with the right tools and support, they can navigate their challenges with resilience. I feel privileged to accompany clients on their journey of self-discovery and transformation.
Mindfulness is an essential part of my personal life and professional practice. I integrate mindfulness techniques into my counselling sessions to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. This practice fosters emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience. Personally, I practice mindfulness through meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful movement, which helps me stay grounded and present with my clients.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping with my family, which includes my kids, partner, and animals. These outdoor adventures allow me to reconnect with nature and unwind, providing balance and rejuvenation that I bring to my work.
