Depression is a fatigue like no other. No matter what we do we cannot create energy in our body and in our being. Getting out of bed and out the door feels like climbing a mountain. Responding to a text is effortful as we attempt to put on our ‘socially acceptable’ mask. Pleasure is for those lucky folks over there, but not for us in our depression.

Our team offers therapy for depression both in person and online. We would love to support your find your joy again.

What is Depression and How It Can Affect a Person

Depression can keep us isolated and separated from ourselves and others. It can disconnect us from our world and paint everything in grayscale. It can make us believe we will be trapped in this bleak existence for a long long time. We don’t feel sadness or joy, we feel numb and despondent. Sometimes the world feels so heavy we don’t know if we can continue.

You do not have to carry on alone.
You have not done anything wrong.
You deserve to feel the sunshine again.
There is hope for a brighter tomorrow.

We are here to help. Please reach out for support if you or a loved one is struggling.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is often misunderstood. In a society that loves extroverts, when you are up — and it feels so great — others might not know you are out of balance and what will come next. The swings of bipolar disorder can feel like you don’t have a lot of control over your own emotions or that you might never get closer to feeling balanced and grounded.

Common Symptoms include:

  • Mania
  • Times of feeling very happy
  • Times requiring little sleep
  • Easily distracted
  • Feeling creative
  • Depression
  • Crashing from times of mania into deep lows
  • Little to no energy to do anything
  • Hard to follow through on commitments and goals

You can absolutely live a wonderful life with bipolar disorder and we would love to help! With the compassionate support of one of our mental health counsellors, we would love to support you in your healing and get closer to balance.
