Counsellor
I am a positive and empathetic counsellor that works primarily with youth and young adults. I focus on helping you find strategies to help yourself, adapting to the unique needs of each client and creating a comfortable and safe space to talk openly about difficult topics. From fostering independence to finding internal motivation, to identifying personal life values and lifegoals, I take a holistic approach to work with you through mental health struggles and explore who you are and want to be. While I work directly with my clients, I recognize that children and youth grow up in a variety of family environments. Where appropriate, I encourage parents and guardians to become co-therapists and embrace the role they play in helping their teenager develop new strategies and improve overall mental health.
As a mother of two young children myself, I have also developed an interest in supporting postpartum people on their journey to parenthood. Knowing the challenges that can arise first hand, I want to create a safe space to talk about, provide support and teach strategies to deal with these.
