I am grateful to be able to conduct work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. The knowledge, traditions and ongoing contributions of these communities provides context for what I do on this land.

Counsellor

Sometimes it’s all too much. Too many intense feelings, too many painful memories, or too many questions that feel impossible to answer. Therapy with me is an opportunity to lessen the weight of what you’re carrying.

I bring experience, both personal and professional, with life’s ups and downs. Part of why I wanted to become a therapist is knowing that pain and loneliness have a way of convincing us that we’re alone and beyond help. Therefore, my focus as your counsellor is on helping you heal by building connection. That could mean focusing on connection to self, to the important people in your life, to me as therapist, or to the broader community.

To do this I draw on theories and therapies that are empirically sound and have a lineage of practice and research. While the names might sound vague or confusing, the aim tends to be: understanding how your mind and body experience emotions to regain a sense of inner safety, knowing and trust.

I primarily work with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and questions of identity or direction. I welcome diverse identities into my practice, and acknowledge the way that the structures and systems of our wider society can impact how you move through the world.

I look forward to hearing how you’ve made it through all the hard days so far, and helping you gain tools and understanding to navigate the hard days to come.
